FIFA 21 Headliners Event: The new special cards from Team 2

 

Headliners Team 2 arrives TODAY in FIFA 21’s Ultimate Team and will be the last team before FIFA 21’s TOTY arrives.

After the first headlining team came out on New Year’s Eve, EA Sports released the second team with additional special cards on January 8th. The players are now in packs and replace Team 1. All cards are also available on the transfer market.

What about tasks for the headliners?
On January 1st, EA Sports released the first Headlining assignment. You will receive Matheus Cunha from Hertha BSC if you complete five sub-tasks. The task runs until January 15th.

In addition, the following must be observed:

The Headliners card is always one point stronger than the player's last Inform card.
After 4 league wins in a row, the Headliners card receives a one-time upgrade.

When selecting the players, EA is based on football players who have shown strong performances in the first half of the season and thus made the headlines – so “headliner players”.

TOTY Nominees & Voting
We can’t forget that Team of the Year is getting closer and closer, with releases coming in early January every year. Given that we haven’t had any voting yet, it’s very likely that we see TOTY Nominees released into packs alongside the Headliners cards, with TOTY voting commencing.

What is special about the FUT Headliners?
The FUT Headliners are dynamic and at the start they are an Inform-Upgrade better than the youngest special card of the respective player (TOTW, MOTM, Hero, Record Breaker or Team of the Group Stage). Players will get one more Inform upgrade as soon as the player receives another special card.

An Inform upgrade corresponds to a value of +1 for players with 85 points or more. Players who have an overall rating of 82 to 84 on their standard map will receive an upgrade of +2. The worse the standard card, the higher the upgrade.

Players will receive an additional rating upgrade if their team wins four championship games in a row. In such a case, the cards are two Inform points better than their most recent Inform. Wins before January 1st do not count towards the series.
